JAL tour this week! Special thanks to Luke for the super sweet hookups!

They had the 'tokubetsu' government plane there that we could take pics of but we couldn't upload them onto social media! It's torture. I want to show you guys so much.

We both love airports. And are both guilty of going there to draw even when we don't have a scheduled flight.

Golden Week, 2015

This was seriously The. Best. GW!

Spent with so many amazing friends. Seeing exhibitions. Eating great food. Drinks on sunny rooftops. Great music. Spring breezes.

Lullatone have just released their 'Sounds of Spring' EP. Shawn emailed me to say that he snuck in 'Sandwich' into one of the song titles for me as a little secret handshake! Whaaaaaaaaat?! I DIE!

Ohhhh I still have to show you the photos from the visit to Shawn's studio when I was in Nagoya recently. We all had a BBQ at his family home, too. Seriously, pinch me!

I woke up hangover (and with an empty fridge) one day over Golden Week to a phone call from Babachan inviting me across the road to her rooftop for an impromptu BBQ. Doesn't get much better.

I peeked out the curtains from my bed and saw her daughter setting up on the rooftop! Cuteness!

Photo Garland Workshop

Hello Sandwiches!

I'll be hosting a Photo Garland Workshop in Shinjuku on 21st April from 14:30 - 16:30.

In this workshop we will use Martha Stewart Craft punches and cute patterned papers to make a hanging garland to display some of your favourite photographs. The garland is made up of small pockets that hold your photographs, so you can change and update your photographs as you wish.

Hello Sandwiches!

I have a workshop coming up at Commune Gallery! I hope you can come along. It's called 'ohayou craft'. Let's start the day together with a nice cup of coffee and cake and make craft! We will be using Martha Stewart craft punches and cute papers to each make a hanging letter file holder.

ハロー花やしき！Hello Hanayashiki Nagoya exhibition!

You guys! Helloooooooo!

I'm just back from Nagoya where I installed my 'Hello Hanayashiki' solo show and hosted a workshop. Two of my best friends came down to Nagoya with me which was such a special treat!

I hosted two collage workshops in the gallery on Saturday. I haven't had so much fun at a workshop for a longggggg time. It was basically a 'crafternoon' with cute new friends. We chatted away, drank tea, showed each other our work on instagram, talked about our favourite artists. One of the workshop participants told me her uni lecturer was SUGITO HIROSHI! My all time favourite artist! I couldn't believe it. In a very un-Japanese / very Australian humor fashion (or is it just me?) I tried to get her set me up with him ha ha.

There are so many great memories from the Nagoya trip that I want to share with you over the next little while. Hotel room shenanigans. Riding suitcases in empty underground shopping malls. BBQ's at Lullatones house! I DIE! Trips to the zoo with Lullatone. Dinners at friends-of-friends cafes...

Can't wait to share it all with you!
